It can follow the foot exactly or it could follow a convex hull shape.<br />For me the clipping is not a problem, actually that kind of rotation could come in handy when the foot is not on the ground or it is placed on a ledge, or on a pipe, or anything that needs an unusual rotation pivot.<br />Anyway this tutorial does not demonstrate how to set up a functional foot rig.
